I go to the trouble of posing an official freakin' game thread for a preseason game, and you ignore it completely.

I'm hurt.

Just for that, I won't complement you on another excellent read.

Nice work nK! I agree with your sentiment, and have voiced that much on the forums. I do wonder if Haley is thinking in some weird mathological (is that a word?) way that makes the final answer to the equation greater by holding Bowe out.

Bowe + Cassel/training camp +2 preseason games = 2

Bowe2 + Cassel/training camp = 4

Does he think that by first maximizing what he has in Bowe it will longterm give Cassel the best support? I guess it all points to who he thinks is the foundation for the offense.

To put it in Patriot terms, it's like pairing Cassel with Jabar Gaffney for a whole year, or adding Randy Moss in the mix halfway through. Even if Cassel doesn't peak himself, his performance is bound to exponentially grow playing alongside a peaked Bowe. If Haley feels he cannot get Bowe to that point by any other means, then he has to stick to his guns.

It's a head scratcher to be sure.

Good lord, the point is this:

Dewayne Bowe is Todd Haley's pet project now. He sees that potential, and the boot will stay firmly on the neck as Mr. Bowe either incrementally or by leaps and bounds fulfills that potential, and you will damn well get with the program and like it.

You wanna' see Mr. Bowe play like a pro; not dropping passes in games and in clutch situations that COUNT? CONSISTENTLY?

Then let the man who coached and developed one of the most dangerous receiver-tandems in the NFL do his job.

And f**k pre season; it's not for you and I, and we've got 16+weeks for that Cassel/Bowe "chemistry" to develop. I'm not looking at today, I'm looking down the road; just like the men who run this team are.

The Faiders are pre season champs. Consistently. Yay. Who cares?

I agree with ROR.....If you let Bowe jump back into the first string just because you 'feel' he should be let in to develope with the QB regardless of his mechanics or desire to play up to his potential then sending him down to the third string was for nothing. It sends a message that when we 'need' you bad enough we will let you back where you think you belong with the big boys playing first string. Look how well he played when he finally got into the game last week....he was gonna catch that ball even if it had TNT strapped to it, and dipped in sh_t!

I enjoy reading your articles and look forward to your next offering NK.
