Colorado does lol

According to Keitzman, K State has the best shot at winning the North. Man that guy has some serious man love for Snyder.

Well, that is a possibility, considering that KU and MU lost, and they are somewhat behind Neb and KSU.

What are you talking about, with ISU dismantling of NU today, 9-7, Iowa State and KSU are the front runners for the North title. Who'd of thunk it?

I actually had KU/MU/NU gunning for the Big XII North. I didn't really pick out one of the three, becuase it was just too close to call, back then.

Apparently, only NU has a shot now. KU and MU is damaged goods.

However, I will also say that K-State has a good shot now, that their defense is worlds better than what it was last year, and while their offense is somewhat "iffy" they do lead the nation in the TOP category and is 3rd in the Big XII in running yardage. Those will be critical when the weather starts turning cold.

KU and MU's problem is that they don't have any consistent running game at all.

Tough game KU. Was hoping they'd win this game, with K-State "solid" performance, outside of spotting OU 21 points, where the Sunflower Showdown would be on the 7:00 slot on ABC.

The funny thing is, KU still has a shot of winning this division. 4 wins could do it. Assuming Colorado lose one more, and KU winning out with the exception of Texas, they still can win it.

Reesing was benched? I thought he was the best QB in the Big 12 North.

No, just yesterday. Just like Kerry Meier, Mangino shows that he has no problem yanking out a QB when he thinks he's underperforming.

Yeah, Reesing has hurt this KU team more than he should. It is a cause of concern for KU fans.

I guess we won't be able to get Mangino to repeat that 'Reesing for Heisman' speech again will we?

Mangino not coddling Reesing after benching

By J. Brady McCollough - Posted on 01 November 2009

A day has passed since Kansas coach Mark Mangino pulled quarterback Todd Reesing in the fourth quarter of KU's 42-21 loss to Texas Tech, and Mangino said he has not spoken directly to Reesing about his benching.

"No, he fully understands what his role is," Mangino said. "He's been in meetings with his position coaches and the offensive unit, and I don't really have anything to say to him, because I think he understands clearly what's going on. He'll be fine. We're encouraging him. I think he'll be fine."

Mangino was given an opportunity to cite the groin injury Reesing said he sustained against Colorado as a reason for his recent struggles, but Mangino declined.

"He's been cleared to play," Mangino said. "He told us he's fine to play, so I don't know if it's a factor or not. I don't think so."

KU's Perkins meets with football players to discuss concerns about Mangino
By J. BRADY McCOLLOUGH
The Kansas City Star

LAWRENCE | Current Kansas football players met with KU athletic director Lew Perkins on Monday night to discuss concerns about KU coach Mark Mangino stemming from a recent incident involving Mangino and a player, a source told The Star.

The source said players at the meeting, at which Mangino was not present, were invited to bring forward information in front of a formal panel. The source said there is an organized group of former players’ parents ready to air their concerns about Mangino as well.

Mangino’s Jayhawks are in the midst of a disastrous stretch on the field, having lost five straight games after starting the season 5-0. KU must win against Texas or Missouri to secure a bowl berth. Kansas was predicted by many to win its first outright Big 12 North title this year.

The guy on 610am said that Mangino got too physically close with a few of the players. What the Hell does that mean? Anyways, sounds like bye bye Mangino, we hardly knew ye.
