The girls had there first exhibition game on Saturday playing Southwestern Oklahoma State winning 89-37. The Ladies looked sharp and seemed like they had some range. The Lady Bears started 2 freshman and a sophomore so the core of this group could be playing together for quite a while. The Lady Bears are picked to finish 6th in the conference and with a young team they could be a dark horse to sneak up a few spots.
Lady Bears 89 SW Oklahoma State 37
Scoring
Sr. Tiffany Coppage 18 points
So. Jacque Griggs 16 points
Sr. Maggie Dwyer 15 points
Fr. Casey Garrison 10 points

As for the guys they have there first Ex. game tonight against Quincy, a D-II team from Indiana. The boys are picked to finish last in the Valley preseason polls, a lot of the reason could be 6 freshman, a new coach, a new gameplan, and less than 35 PPG returning to the team.

got back from the last exhibition game for the boys an hour ago or so. We came away with the win at 103-73. We had them pretty outmatched and they got a lot of lucky shots to fall but our defense needs to get better.

well the boys and girls both lost tonight, the girls had a chance to tie at the buzzer and missed and the men got outplayed on the road by a SEC team. The men are only playing with 8 kids right now due to injuries to 1/3 of the roster. I will post some stats tomorrow

Hey Dom.....Have you taken a tour of or been inside the Q Arena yet? I've wanted to get over there but just haven't gotten the chance yet.
Yup have been in there quite a few times. The debut of the "Q" is tomorrow against the Arkansas Razorbacks and I have front row seats in the student section!! As for JQH arena itself... simply amazing, it will be a great arena for years to come. You definately need to go check it out!!
