I agree with her, I hate when fans say 'home of the CHIEFS' during the national anthem at Royals games. They do it all the time and I think it's disrespectful to the Royals. As much as I love the Chiefs, I won't do that.

I agree with you on that. I would not do Home of the Chiefs. Well. I got me some Royals Shorts now. Hopefully I can keep my pants up this time.

So, they're 4-2 under Ned then. I thought they were alot better than their record, but they've got a long ways to go to sniff being competitive. Step one would be to beat the Tribe today and get out of the cellar.

KC 9 - 3 CLE

Another win, KC jumps out of the cellar. I like the way Ned Yost used Hochevar. He isn't protecting him, he's making him work through trouble. The hope is doing this will make him better in the long run. The short return on it has been good, that being a complete game that ended strong, retiring the last 10 hitters in a row.

Myself, my wife and AKB will be at the Royals game tomorrow night (Wednesday) anybody else going to be there? We will only get there just in time to be at the start of the game though, no time to tailgate.

Pat White was drafted 3 times in college despite not playing baseball in college. He's a legit talent. The Royals have some talent coming up through the system.

I'm surprised this isn't a stickied thread.

Opening series, Royals miss winning the first game by about 10 feet as a would be Alex Gordon home run barely pulled foul. They followed it up with by winning the next 3 games against the Angels and taking the series. Great bullpen pitching throughout the series (especially Tim Collins and former Mizzou Tiger Aaron Crow), generally questionable defense and starting pitching though, especially on opening day. Can't argue with the end result.

I know this is supposed to be the season we're all looking past, and the payroll is embarrassingly low. Still, I think this team will surprise people. I bet they're closer to 80 wins than 60 wins like some are thinking, especially considering some of that young talent everyone is excited about will likely be rolling in this year. Hopefully the starting pitching doesn't make me regret saying that though.

With pretty pathetic SP lets just hope we can stay around .500. Obviously it would be good to win series 2-1, 3-1, but we have to understand that pitching will kill us. Bullpen does look pretty good thus far out.

Yeah, you know it's bad when you're an optimist for saying your team might win more than 70 games. I think the bullpen will keep us in alot of games though. The real X factor is if the bats come alive, which is why I think they'll win more than people think, especially later in the year.

Another day, another win at the last at bat. Starting pitching was still not good from Hochevar, though he calmed down. Bullpen has been fantastic. They're the real reason we've won these games. No way we can keep winning games like this, but I'm going to enjoy it while I can. Royals are 4-1 with a 1.5 game lead over the Chi Sox and Tribe.

Thing I like is they are making it interesting to watch. Went to the game on Sunday and had a blast! Left after the tenth due to the wife was starting to whine. Hopefully the SP will come around and win us some games. Loving the Bullpen and the hitting.

6-3 lead going into the bottom of the 9th, no one on base, 2 outs, Soria on the mound, and you lose? That's the Royals we love right there.
